About

The Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant, Michigan was established on May 6, 1925. Our Club is a friendly group of business and professional leaders committed to "Service Above Self." We are dedicated individuals who meet weekly to exchange ideas, build relationships and take action.

What is Rotary? Rotary International is a worldwide service organization. The Object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and, in particular, to encourage and foster:
  • The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service;
  • High ethical standards in business and professions; the recognition of the worthiness of all useful occupations; and the dignifying of each Rotarian’s occupation as an opportunity to serve society;
  • The application of the ideal of service in each Rotarian’s personal, business, and community life;
  • The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
This is set against the Rotary Four Way Test, a standard of ethics which asks four questions of Rotarians.

Of the things we think, say or do:
Is it the TRUTH?
Is it FAIR to all concerned?
Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concerned?

Rotary’s Five Avenues of Service are the philosophical and practical framework for the work of our Rotary Club.
  1. Club Service
  2. Vocational Service
  3. Community Service
  4. International Service
  5. Youth Service
How are we organized? The Rotary Club of Mt. Pleasant is part of District 6310, and is led by a volunteer Board of Directors.
